Description

Costume based on the heavy weapons guy from Valve's Team Fortress 2.
(I'm not the sort of person to hang around in public as a medic without somebody twice my size as a heavy, it just wouldn't be safe.
Speaking of someone being twice my size; this really looks better on the person than the mannequin, I adjusted her as big as she goes but she's still a rather petite lady and y'know, not a gigantic man.)

So, the red T-shirt was purchased second-hand, I removed the collar and replaced it with white ribbing.
The vest started life as a jumper (also second-hand). I removed the collar and sleeves and widened the armholes. I then hand-sewed the grey ribbing to the collar/neck, stripes across the chest and back and armholes. It has also been shortened.

The belt was purchased, just an ordinary leather thing. The buckle was also purchased, I think it's stainless steel. It slides on over the buckle the belt came with.
The pouch on the side of the belt is 6mm foam, cut to shape, hot glued and covered with vinyl. The red button on the lid of the pouch was just glued on.
The pouch is functional, which is important for... I dunno, storing sandviches probably.

The ammo-belt thing... bandoleer? Yeah, that sounds right.
The bandoleer is a strap I took off a backpack and sewed into a circle.
The bullets are the cardboard inserts from toilet rolls, coated in craft-glue and aluminium foil. Next black cardboard was hot glued to them and brown spots painted on with acrylics.
The tips are cardboard and masking tape which were glued on and again, painted with acrylics. They were then sealed with a matte sealant spray and hot glued to the bandoleer.

The patches for the sleeves of the T-shirt were drawn up in Adobe Illustrator (RED and BLU versions because at the time we hadn't decided on teams) printed at 10X10cm on heat-transfer-paper and ironed onto the sleeves.

That pretty much covers everything.
